Manual valve OS 722.6

This TransGo 7-CCV valve kit fits 1981 to 1993 General Motors vehicles equipped with the 2004R and 700R4/4L60 automatic transmission.
This product is intended for off road use only.

When used in high performance or transplanted vehicles for off-road or strip use at times there may be a desire to eliminate the lock-up clutch function and fit the transmission with a torque converter with the lock-up clutch omitted. However, unless internal transmission modifications are made at the oil pump and valve body, doing this can result in a loss of coupling complaint-slippage and excessive heat build-up due to the converter not staying fully charged with fluid under heavy load and high RPM.

Features and benefits:

This TransGo converter flow correction kit provides you with an easy-to-install, drop-in solution, that redirects converter flow to the primary pump area and allows the converter to stay fully charged under high load and RPM. This new valve system does not require any pump machining, cross-drilling or any modification to the pump or support. It does not require a TCC enable solenoid; however, you can reinstall it if you wish. This kit is fully compatible with our enter line of products for the 2004R and 700R4/4L60 transmission.

Running a non-lock-up converter while driving in an overdriven ratio increases the transmission operating temperature and cause overheating. For this reason, it is always best to add a cooler. The transmission removal is required for installation.

Corrects/Prevents/Reduces:

• Corrects converter charge and lube flow when using non-lockup converter

3-2 Control Valve Spring

The 3-2 control valve spring in late-model 4L60-E and 4L65-E valve bodies often breaks, and can cause a 3-2 bind and/or 2-4 band to overheat. This spring is often found to be broken during valve body service, and OE replacements are not available.

NOTE: This spring works only in '96-later on/off- style 3-2 control valve bodies. It will not work in 1993-95 PWM-style 3-2 control valve bodies.

Relay signal valve TF60, TF80

This kit can be used in any of nine locations in three different valve body applications.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize two-spool valves as relay or signal valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components.

Various shift concerns can accompany ratio or solenoid codes when bore wear becomes a problem in this circuit. The oversized two-spool relay/signal valve kit 15741-49K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

Relay valve OS TF60

This kit can be used in any of six locations in three different valve body applications. See chart Figure 1 and identification photos Figures 2, 3 & 4 on the instruction sheet for details.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize three spool valves as relay, control or switch valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family (see Figures 1-4) and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components. The numerous shift/driveability complaints vary depending on the circuit affected (Figure 1). The oversized three-spool relay/control/switch valve kit 15741-50K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

The Sonnax oversized coast clutch valve kit 37947-33K and tooling salvages the valve body and restores proper coast clutch function in either style unit.

• Oversized valve allows valve body to be refurbished and salvaged.

• Hard-coat anodized valve resists wear.

• Elongated front spool adds stability and prevents blow-by leakage.

• Annular groove centers the valve hydraulically to prevent wear.

• Recalibrated spring provides proper regulating pressure for oversized valve.

• O-ringed end plug positively seals bore to help maintain coast clutch and TCC pressures.
