AFL Kit 4L60E

TV Boost Valve Kit
Part No. 77917-471

.471" Dia., O-ring style

A common problem in GM 4L60 transmissions is burnt bands and/or 3-4 clutches. This failure can be reduced by eliminating throttle boost oil leakage. Sonnax TV boost valve kit 77917-471 will eliminate these problems for a variety of applications. For a higher pressure boost, use TV boost valve kit 77917-500.

• Boost valve and sleeve are made from hardened steel for better wear resistance
• O-rings on sleeve separate throttle pressure and reverse boost circuits, providing additional protection against cross leaks
• O-rings prevent loss of oil between the outside diameter of the throttle valve sleeve and pump body

TV Boost Valve Kit
Part No. 77917-500

.500" Dia., O-ring style

A common problem in GM 4L60 transmissions is burnt bands and/or 3-4 clutches. This failure can be reduced by eliminating throttle boost oil leakage. Sonnax TV boost valve kit 77917-500 will eliminate these problems for a variety of applications, and will boost pressure higher than TV boost valve kit 77917-471 due to the increased .500" valve spool ratio.

• Returns higher pressure than OE-ratio valve
• Boost valve and sleeve are made from hardened steel for better wear resistance
• O-rings on sleeve separate throttle pressure and reverse boost circuits, providing additional protection against cross leaks
• O-rings prevent loss of oil between the outside diameter of the throttle valve sleeve and pump body

Servo Release Check Valve Kit Part

No. 77701-076

2nd Gear Servo Release Technicians would like to find a way to successfully extend the life of 3-4 clutches, and improve the 2-3 shift feel. They have been trying, with limited success, since the GM 4L60 (700-R4) and 4L60-E series transmissions were introduced. Inadequate metering of 2nd gear band servo release oil causes 3-4 clutch failure. The 3-4 clutch and 2nd gear band are not properly synchronized. Sonnax servo release check valve kit 77701-076 is a unique solution that combines an orifice with a ball check valve to resolve these problems.

•Improved design meters servo release oil, reducing 3-4 clutch failure

•Provides sufficient exhaust so that 3-2 downshifts are smooth

•Calibrates 3-4 clutch feed orifice without creating shift concerns

WARNING: Must be used with properly functioning OE capsule.

Forward & Reverse Abuse Valve Kit

• Valve
• Plug
• Spring

This kit fits either the forward or reverse abuse location and includes a replacement bore plug.

Accumulator piston kit TF60, TF80 [5], TR60 [4]

Wear at the multiple accumulator bores on TF-80/81SC, TF-60SNand TR-60SN units is very common. At the clutch and band locations, wear allows component apply oil to exhaust, resulting in delayed engagements, slipping shifts, and burnt clutches and bands.

Wear at the line pressure accumulator allows throttle signal oil leakage, which can result in reduced line pressure. The Sonnax accumulator piston kit 15741-14K incorporates an O-ring for positive sealing and annular grooves for better centering and wear prevention.

This kit fits in several locations throughout the valve bodies as shown.

Boostvalve TF60

• Valve
• Sleeve

 This kit also fits BMW (6F21WA) & VW/Audi (09G, 09K, 09M).

The boost sleeve in Aisin AW TF-60SN units wears from repeated oscillation of the boost valve, allowing Reverse pressure to exhaust. This will result in delayed Reverse, low line pressure in Reverse and/or burnt K3 and B2 brake clutches. Sonnax boost valve kit 15741-51K eliminates these concerns and restores proper hydraulic control.
