Relay signal valve TF60, TF80

This kit can be used in any of nine locations in three different valve body applications.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize two-spool valves as relay or signal valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components.

Various shift concerns can accompany ratio or solenoid codes when bore wear becomes a problem in this circuit. The oversized two-spool relay/signal valve kit 15741-49K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

Relay valve OS TF60

This kit can be used in any of six locations in three different valve body applications. See chart Figure 1 and identification photos Figures 2, 3 & 4 on the instruction sheet for details.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize three spool valves as relay, control or switch valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family (see Figures 1-4) and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components. The numerous shift/driveability complaints vary depending on the circuit affected (Figure 1). The oversized three-spool relay/control/switch valve kit 15741-50K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

Spring adjuster kit TF60, TF80

In Aisin AW TF-60SN, TF-80SC and TF-81SC applications the oil circuit between the clutch control valve and the adjuster is clutch apply oil. The clutch apply oil opposes the solenoid oil and slows the stroke of the valve in response to clutch fill rate. When the adjuster leaks, both clutch oil and fill rate are affected. Installing the Sonnax spring adjuster kit 15741-48K results in shorter, firmer shifts and less variance across temperature range.

Severe wear of the servo apply pin bore due to continuous pin oscillation can result in burned clutches, shift complaints and destroyed cases. The Sonnax sleeve kit is made from highly wear-resistant aluminum, and allows the case to be refurbished to provide proper clearance with the servo apply pins. Installation of the sleeve kit requires reamer tool kit S-76890-TL24 and alignment fixture SERVO-FIX. The SERVO-FIX is also used with AXOD & E, AX4S/4N and 5R55N, 5R55W and 5R55S applications.

• Inhibits oxidation

• Prevents overheating

• Prevents premature gear failures

• Enhances shift quality

• Provides proper frictional characteristics for the clutch packs of the BTR transmission

LUBEGARD® BTR Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Conversion Formula is formulated to fortify DEXRON® III, VI/ MERCON®, V ATF with the extra ingredients that are required for BTR Engineering and other transmissions that need this type of special EP fluid.

LUBEGARD BTR ATF Conversion Formula contains extreme pressure additives that protect against premature failure of planetary gears, and LXE® (Liquid Wax Ester) Technology improves the thermal and oxidative stability of the ATF.

It also improves the shift quality and increases the life of the automatic transmission.

Recommended for Ford Falcon, Ford Fairlane and Ford LTD models from 1989 fitted with the BTR Engineering electronic controlled automatic transmissions.

BTR transmissions also found in Mitsubishi Magna from 1988, Maseratti 3200GT and Daewoo Musso. Model #’s include M85LE, M91LE & M95LE.
