Solenoid regulator valve/Converter relief 4F27E,FN5

Fits two locations.

To release the Intermediate/Overdrive Band for the 2-3 shift on Ford's 4F27E, Direct Clutch oil is applied to the top of the servo piston.

The Direct clutch oil, with the aid of the servo return spring, overcomes apply oil, forcing the servo downward and releasing the band.

The problem is that as the servo applies and releases, the pin wears the case. This wear in the case creates a gap through which Direct clutch oil leaks, causing a lack of apply pressure to the clutch and release pressure on the servo. With this loss of pressure, the life of both the Direct clutch and the Band, even after a rebuild, is seriously shortened.

The 4F27 kit contains tooling necessary to repair the 2-4 servo pin bore. The 4F27 is a BLUE series kit, and is available as either a Master (pictured) or a Sub kit. The 4F27 kit is approved by Ford Motor Company for use in 4F27E transaxles by their dealerships, and is available to dealerships through Rotunda. Separate Sleeve available # 4834

Accumulator control valve E4OD 1-2 & 2-3

• Valve
• Retaining Clip
• Spring Shims (4)

• The step machined into valve spool acts as an orifice to allow full oil flow to clutches when appropriate, preventing premature clutch failure
• Reinforcement retaining clip attaches to OE clip to prevent over-stroking
• Spring shims allow for selective increase of apply pressure to manipulate shift quality
• Annular groove helps center valve in bore to prevent future side-load wear

The Low/Reverse modulator plunger valve uses line pressure to control the position of the Low/Reverse modulator valve. Due to continuous oscillation of the plunger valve, wear occurs at the ID of the sleeve, allowing line pressure to leak to exhaust. The Low/Reverse modulator valve is prevented from properly supplying regulated line pressure to the Low/Reverse clutch, which can cause slippage, burnt clutches, and loss of engine braking.

Line Press. Booster 4R100, E4OD

• Large Ratio Boost Assembly
• Pressure Regulator Spring
• O-Rings (2)

Sonnax hydraulic line pressure booster kits contain stronger pressure regulator springs and large ratio boost valves designed to work together to provide progressive pressure increases as driving conditions become more demanding.

Our pressure regulator springs are approximately 10% stronger than OE and more conservative in impact than other aftermarket kit springs. Large ratio boost valves provide higher pressure incrementally and when it is needed the most. The combination of these springs and valves in a Sonnax kit gives you the best of both worlds: a modest pressure increase at the low end, with a high-end pressure that is equal to or greater than that of other aftermarket kit springs.

• Achieve shorter shifts and increased torque capacity without creating low-speed harshness
• Improved band and clutch holding capacity for increased durability
• Progressive pressure increase as driving conditions become more demanding
• All the benefits of increased line pressure without overloading the pump at idle
• Simple and affordable drop-in solution with no special tools or reaming required.
