Anti-shud.spr.A4LD [2]

Package quantity: 2

• Stronger spring delays lockup by approximately 10 mph.
• Stronger spring will release the lockup if the TCC electrical circuit or solenoid fails.

Spring VB 5R55N

Complaints of no 4th or 5th gear, codes 734 and/or 735, and solenoid C codes can occur on the 5R55N due to a broken 4-3 pre-stroke valve spring.

The 4-3 pre-stroke valve controls the apply and release rate of the intermediate servo and direct clutch, which should be applied in 4th and 5th gear. The Sonnax 4-3 Pre-Stroke Valve Spring 56947J-S1 addresses these complaints.

This spring is not used on 5R55W & S units.

• Spring is made from chrome-silicon alloy, which allows higher working stresses than typical music wire spring material.

• Spring configuration reduces operating stresses at the critical regulating positions of the valve by 8%.

TCC Modulator sleevekit 4R44E, 5R55R

• Spacer
• Solenoid Regulator Valve Spring

Constant oscillation of the torque converter clutch (TCC) modulator valve creates wear in the valve body bore, which can allow converter solenoid oil to exhaust. This prevents the TCC modulator valve from stroking fully to the apply position, which can create a no lockup complaint and/or set a 1741 code. Wear at the other end of the valve can prevent TCC release, resulting in cover dragging and stall on forward engagement.

• Specially toleranced alloy aluminum sleeve is significantly more wear-resistant than the cast aluminum valve body.
• Alloy aluminum sleeve provides more contact surface with the valve for increased stability and durability.
• Kit includes a replacement solenoid regulator valve spring, which is often damaged during valvebody disassembly.
• The tool kit also works with the 37947-05K pressure regulator valve sleeve kit.
