Pressure Regulator Valve CD4E

• Converter Regulator Valve
• Oversized Pressure Regulator Valve
• Lubrication Plugs (4) 1 extra
• Converter Regulator Spring

Sonnax oversized pressure regulator and converter regulator valve kit 73840-RK featires a converter regulator valve and PR valve which work together to limit converter pressure, yet ensure flow continues during a failsafe condition.

• Updated valves flow a safe regulated pressure into both the line and converter circuit, yet maintain control under low pump volume and high line conditions
• Improved line-to-lube circuit allows full-time cooler flow
• Includes an EPC pressure limit relief valve
• Redesigned converter regulator valve has a lengthened spool to eliminate cooler pressure loss
• Tapered spool design of the converter regulator valve ensures flow at extreme pressure
• Hardcoat anodized aluminum valves combat premature wear and feature annular grooves to prevent side loading

Product Description CD4E Kit Shift Correction Package

This valve body kit deals with these problems:

• TCC. shuttle or abort

• Runaway high pressure

• Better lube to problem areas

• Consistent reverse clutch apply

• Salvages worn valve bodies

• Improves overall performance

Sleeve Rev. drum CD4E

A soft reverse clutch drum journal can cause bushing failure and/or reverse clutch drum journal damage in Ford CD4E and Mazda LA4AEL units. To salvage drums with worn or damaged bushing journals, Sonnax offers reverse clutch drum sleeve 73300-01. This prehardened steel sleeve will extend the life of the reverse clutch drum bushing journal.

• Pre-hardened steel sleeve is precision machined

• More durable, wear-resistant bushing journal

• Spring, Yellow Standard Gas
• Spring, Pink Gas/Diesel Conversion

Vehicles with Ford C6 transmissions often display stacked upshifts, no kick-down, little or no line rise and/or direct clutch failure. These concerns are frequently caused by wear of the transmission case at the modulator valve bore due to continuous oscillation of the steel valve within the bore. As wear progresses, line pressure and TV pressure are allowed to cross-leak or exhaust, resulting in these driveability problems. Salvage the case and restore normal shift operation by reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized modulator valve kit 36833-01K.

Product Description C-6 Kit Shift Correction Package

This valve body kit deals with these problems:

• Premature clutch and band failure

• Increases line and lube pressure

• Passing gear spin up

• Soft 1-2 shifts

• Soft 2-3 shifts

• Clutch chatter

Acc.sleeve AXOD N-D

Sleeve Piston Viton® O-Ring N-D Accumulator The accumulator bores on AXOD & E, AX4S channel castings can become scored, which creates loss of clutch pressure or cross leaks. The continuous oscillation of the piston within the bore causes excessive wear.

Also a broken accumulator spring can get caught between the piston and the bore causing a deep groove in the casting wall. You can resolve these problems by installing these Sonnax AXOD & E, AX4S accumulator bore sleeve kits. Kits contain an aluminum sleeve and new steel accumulator piston with a Viton® O-ring. Piston is compatible with all OE springs and OE piston pins.

Length of piston-to-pin contact area has been increased to reduce piston cocking and increase sealing surface area. Kits available for N-D, 1-2 and 3-4 locations, along with a master kit that contains all three.

 3.0 Liter 12 valve, O-ring style

Vehicles with an AXOD, AXODE, AX4S or AX4N transmission frequently have flare 1-2 & 2-3 upshifts, high pressure, harsh reverse (300 psi), 2-1 downshift clunk, non-adjustable throttle pressure, and clutch or band failure from poor line rise.

This is caused by wear on the inside bore of the boost sleeve allowing TV/EPC and/or reverse oil to either leak to exhaust or cross leak.
