Heavy Duty "D" Clutch Backing Plate
Part No. 35570-50The "D" clutch in ZF8HP45, ZF8HP50, Chrysler 845RE and 850RE transmissions has a thin, stamped OE backing plate that allows flexing and bowing (coning) of the clutch pack. This wears the clutches unevenly, generating and concentrating extra heat which leads to clutch burnup. Sonnax heavy duty "D" clutch backing plate 35570-50 is two times thicker than the OE plate which prevents flexing when the clutch is applied, and provides greater durability. 2X thicker than weak, stamped OE backing plate for significantly improved protection against burnup Easy to install, no special tools or machining required Prevents comebacks by installing in units that have not yet failed

- OE end plugs are designed to prevent critical pressure loss by capping the bore, while also functioning as a spring or valve stop. Repetitive spring motion, valve impact and fluid pressure variations cause wear between the end plug and bore mating surface, allowing vital pressure to escape the circuit. Sonnax O-ringed end plug kit 35740-45K services three individual bores in ZF8HP50, ZF8HP75 and Chrysler 850RE valve bodies which use internal end plugs to isolate valves from solenoids. These double O-ringed internal end plugs replace damaged OE plugs and restore pressure containment to the bores.
