TCC Regulator sleevekit 4T65E

The OE TCC regulated apply bore in GM 4T65-E units wears, causing TCC signal (PWM) oil and TCC regulated apply oil to leak. The leakage lowers the apply pressure, which causes the torque converter clutch to slip. The Sonnax TCC regulated apply valve kit 84754-34K addresses TCC slip, code 741 and occasional ratio codes.

Symptoms:

Code P0741
Gear ratio codes
TCC slip

Cause:

Bore wear at the TCC apply valve allows regulated apply oil to exhaust.

Correction:

Sonnax design improvements aid durability and restore apply pressure to eliminate converter clutch slippage.

NOTE: It is recommended to check separator plate orifices in this area for contamination. Additionally, the TCC apply valve bore should be examined for wear with any TCC related concerns.

SC-4T60E-1

Fits 1997 and later units

Sonnax Sure Cure kit SC-4T60E-1 is a comprehensive reconditioning package for GM 4T60-E PWM units featuring the best Sonnax products developed to help rebuilders restore and enhance transmission performance. Sure Cure components are the same Sonnax parts sold individually to resolve common valve body complaints as well as other transmission problems.

The high-quality Sonnax parts in each Sure Cure kit repair worn areas and protect the transmission against future damage. Each kit comes with easy-to-read, step-by-step installation guide that covers the inspection and repair of the most critical areas of the valve body.

Valvekit 1-2 Accumulator 4T65 OS

To help control the 2nd clutch apply pressure and shift feel in the 4T65-E, a 1-2 accumulator piston and accumulator valve regulating fluid pressure are used. The 1-2 accumulator valve regulates line pressure using torque signal influence and directs 1-2 accumulator pressure to the spring side of the piston, controlling the 2nd clutch apply. Wear at the bore or valve can allow torque signal, 1-2 accumulator or line pressures to exhaust, resulting in various 1-2 shift complaints.

Symptoms:

1-2 Long
Flare shifts
Soft shifts & poor line rise

Cause:

Wear at the 1-2 accumulator valve and/or bore, allowing loss of torque signal, 1-2 accumulator and/or line pressure.

Correction:

Refurbish the worn bore and install the Sonnax oversized valve to restore correct hydraulic clearances.

Required tool:

Tool 1-2 Accumultator 4T65 OS: F-84754-TL57

Accumulator Piston 4T80E 2-3

1994 & later

• Increased bore length for more piston-to-pin support.
• Machined from high-quality aluminum.
• More durable than OE replacements.
• Piston accepts standard OE or replacement seals.

NOTE: This piston should not be used in a first-design 2-3 accumulator found in '93 models. These units do NOT have the second bumper spring on the top portion of the accumulator piston. If the large spring is broken, replace with GM part number 8684827

Sure cure A604,41TE

Sonnax Sure Cure kit SC-41TE, fully compatible with all Chrysler 41TE (A604) and 42LE (A606) units, is a comprehensive reconditioning package featuring the best Sonnax products developed to help rebuilders restore and enhance transmission performance.

Sure Cure components are the same Sonnax parts sold individually to resolve common valve body complaints as well as other transmission problems. The high-quality Sonnax parts in each Sure Cure kit repair worn areas and protect the transmission against future damage. Plus, each kit comes with an easy-to-read, step-by-step installation guide that covers the inspection and repair of the most critical areas of the valve body

Fits bores containing OE switch valve with .453" dia. large spool only.

WARNING: Measure large spool diameter on OE switch valve as shown here to verify which Sonnax part will fit the unit being repaired. Some Chrysler switch valves measure .420” dia. and others .453” dia. Sonnax offers repairs for both sizes.

AFL valve 6T70, 6F50

In Ford 6F50/55 and first generation GM 6T70/75 units, AFL/solenoid pressure regulator bore wear results in low pressure at the shift and control solenoid valve assembly. The OE valve has a large reaction area and is highly affected by side loading, which wears the valve body bore. As the bore wear increases, oil pressure is reduced to the shift solenoids, which causes solenoid and ratio codes. This also results in lower line pressure.

Sonnax oversized AFL/solenoid pressure regulator valve 124740-01 is a solenoid feed regulator valve that feeds the control solenoid valve assembly. The valve will restore hydraulic control to the shift solenoids.
