500/618 Kit (Superior K500-618 ) Shift Correction Package This valve body kit deals with these problems:

•  Premature band failure • Inadequate line rise • Slow engagements • Premature clutch failure • Lower 2-3 shift MPH • Full time lube • Rapid fill manual valve • Services regular, heavy duty, gas, and diesel * Improves overall performance

1. The K500-618 Shift Correction Package will service all A500 thru A618 hydraulic and electronic units thru 1998. Regular duty, heavy duty, gas, and diesel applications.

2. This package includes a rapid fill manual valve. This valve allows normal converter drainage with motor off but instant fill in park when motor is started.

3. Special lip seal supplied for 518-618 direct drum. This seal delivers better durability and sealing ability.

AFL kit 4L80E

• Valve

• Sleeve

• Long Spring

• Short Spring

• Retaining Clip

The actuator feed limit (AFL) valve in GM 4L80-E units has a large reaction area and is greatly affected by side loading, which wears the valve body bore. The EPC solenoid oscillates the torque signal and AFL oil, which increases valve action and accelerates wear.

As bore wear increases, oil pressure is reduced to the shift solenoids, which causes solenoid and ratio codes. The same AFL oil loss results in lower line pressure.

• Outer Plug
• Inner Plug

Fits bores containing OE switch valve with .420" dia. large spool only.

Checkball sleeve 4L80E

Package Quantity: 4

Vehicles with GM 4L80-E and 4L85-E transmissions commonly exhibit wear in the Reverse checkball sleeve located in the 3-4 shift valve bore. This issue is caused by normal movement of the checkball within the sleeve over time.

As wear progresses, sealing function of checkball becomes compromised and results in loss of apply pressure to direct clutches.

Sol.reg.v. OS 6F35 Ford

The function of the solenoid pressure regulator is to provide regulated pressure to shift solenoids. Wear in the solenoid pressure regulator bore causes low clutch pressure and results in transmission slips/harsh shifts. This eventually leads to a loss of 4th through 6th gears, and finally the loss of transmission function. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized solenoid pressure regulator valve 144740A-01 will restore hydraulic control and prevent wear in the Ford 6F35 unit.

• Hardcoat anodized aluminum valve combats premature wear
• Annular grooves help center valve in bore to reduce future side-load wear

Reverse boost valve kit

High Ratio, .293" dia. small spool

Vehicles with 4T60 or 4T60-E transmissions often exhibit problems as poor line rise, soft shifts, poor reverse boost, and/or 2nd and 3rd clutch distress. These problems are often caused by worn and leaking boost sleeves.

Symptoms:

Low Reverse boost

Cause:

Worn and leaking boost sleeves

Correction:

This replacement boost valve kit provides more sealing area. Sleeves and valves made from high-quality hardened steel to prevent excessive wear.
