Relay valve OS TF60

This kit can be used in any of six locations in three different valve body applications. See chart Figure 1 and identification photos Figures 2, 3 & 4 on the instruction sheet for details.

The Aisin AW 6-speed units TF-80SC, TF-81SC and TF-60SN (VW 09G) each utilize three spool valves as relay, control or switch valves. These valves are found in multiple circuits in all valve bodies across the AW6 family (see Figures 1-4) and are used to route critical clutch/brake feed and apply oil to the appropriate apply components. The numerous shift/driveability complaints vary depending on the circuit affected (Figure 1). The oversized three-spool relay/control/switch valve kit 15741-50K restores proper clutch/brake feed and apply pressure to the related components by functioning in a refurbished bore that provides correct hydraulic clearances.

Clutch Cntrl valve K3 TF60 Oversize

K3 clutches in Aisin AW TF-60SN (VW/Audi 09G, 09K, 09M) and BMW 6F21WA units are applied in third, fifth and Reverse gears in conjunction with other clutch packs. As the K3 clutch control valve oscillates and strokes over time, bore deterioration results, which prevents proper hydraulic control of the K3 clutch pack.

This can cause flares, slipping, erratic clutch apply timing, ratio codes, bind-ups, and burnt K3 clutches. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized K3 clutch control valve kit 15741-59K restores normal shift operation by re-establishing the hydraulic integrity of the K3 circuit.

Clutch cutoff valve TF60, TF80

Fits 9 separate locations; see note below.

Clutch cutoff valves in listed Aisin AW, BMW and VW/Audi transmissions are responsible for switching or relaying control pressure in their respective circuits. Over time, bore deterioration allows pressure loss that negatively affects circuit function.

Depending on which bore is influenced, this can result in shift timing issues, harsh or soft shifts, burnt clutches, overheated fluid, and failsafe mode. Reconditioning the bore and installing Sonnax oversized clutch cutoff valve 15741-63K eliminates excess wear for revived shift control in all ranges.

• For TF-60SN, 09G, 09K, 09M, 6F21WA: Fits 3-4 transition bore, K3 relay bore & 4-5 timing bore.
• For TF-80SC: Fits C1 shift bore, B1/C3 control bore & shift valve bore.
• For TF-81SC: Fits C3 signal bore, C1 shift bore & B1/C3 control bore.
