TCC Signal Damper Piston Kit
Part No. 105740-07K

TCC signal dampers are used in Ford 10R140 transmissions to dampen or smooth out the signal fluid pressure applied from each control solenoid before the fluid flows to the TCC control valve. This allows for a smoother apply of the converter.

When the bore and/or piston wears out, it cannot effectively dampen the variation in pressure. This can result in TCC apply and release concerns, TCC codes and overheating and TCC shudder.

Replacing these worn out dampers can require replacing the entire control valve body, or reaming the bore and installing an oversized piston.

Sonnax TCC signal damper piston kit 105740-07K includes an O-ringed sleeve to allow a long-lasting, quick repair, no reaming required. The O-ring provides a positive seal against critical pressure loss even in worn bores.

• Hardcoat anodized aluminum piston combats premature wear
• Annular grooves added to the piston reduces wear rate
• Highly wear-resistant sleeve to prevent future wear
• O-Ring provides positive seal to prevent critical pressure leakage in worn bores
• Mating spring to re-establish OE dampening action
• Drop-in Zip Valve™ parts install quickly and easily
